Only the penitent man shall pass!

We have ourselves a new member today folks - pictured above is Bryan McCabe, a poker obsessed IT geek-friend from years past. He currently resides in Michigan with his lovely wife, Tricia. Together, they made this;

She's called Ella and she is pretty cool.

Ella embraces the "Bunny out!" trend.

That is freakin adorable!

Beware - this guy moves at warp speed 9 (Spaceballs went plaid!).

Look at the focus... the fear he produces... this is moments before I took him for $25. Sucker!

Yo

You can't stop it, you can only hope to contain it!

Bunny out is sweeping the nation!

Check the below link for a peek into the madness.

Also, Buttercup produced a prototype Buny out t-shirt last evening. Pic to follow.

Pic is here

and now Nut Flop is in on the fun!

rigoddamndiculous!

Our game last night was absolutely terrible - Tuesday nights we join a church team and play flag football - and last night was awful! It was not the fact that we got obliterated... it was that no one would change up the game plan... no one would listen!

The Bags will continue the fight for victory on Sunday - a team with heart and soul and a drive to win... even though we only have one on the board.

Looks like the Dukes was shot as an R rated film - perhaps Jessica Simpson's role will be... strengthened.

Hmm.

Busy kids - chat ya later

... to the lovely couple

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Bloggers - today is the anniversary for our dear Sheriff and Buttercup. They celebrate their 2nd year of bondage, continuing to love and honor the hell outta one another.

Greg and Drea are an amazing couple of people who continue to have a solid relationship that I often can bounce my life questions and issues off of. Hopefully they can party down in proper celebration!

This weekend Greg informed me that their anniversary coincided with my grandparents - today would have been my Grandpa and Grandma's 60th Wedding Anniversary!! Two major relationships in my life - four people who really have helped me understand how wonderfully life can be lived... all celebrate one day.

This world is crazy like that!

Happy Anniversary Greg and Andrea!
Happy Anniversary Grandma... you too Billy!

BAGS WIN!!!

We had a helluva weekend folks!! I got to spend some quality time with the Kreitners - which included some smooth g&t's, a perfect fire pit cool evening, tons of good eating... and plenty of burning anal leakage!!

The Sheriff and Buttercup spoiled yours truly in their standard fashion - and also gave the gift of life... er... rather, the new Family Guy DVD. We snuck off and saw CORPSE BRIDE which was somewhat disappointing - and also came back, threw in NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS and proceeded to make the coolest pumpkins this side of Halloweentown!

Sadly, my trip was a short one - cuz I had some football to play!!

The Bags had a scrimmage before our big game, taking on the church team some of us play with on Tuesday nights. That win did not really count... but the win at the 4pm game was huge for us! The team really started to gel, with people finding their roles and beginning to really take over their own areas. After a rough interception start, we went on to manhandle the other team 26-13!

Hopefully the Sheriff can add some pics of the weekend... I am in great spirits Yo's!

Yo

p.s. I also beat miss KJ in Fantasy Football this weekend... pure icing!

There is so much that can be said about this man - his total respect for others - his complete love of family - his kindness and gentility in all situations... and his grand sense of humor. But all I need to say is... he was the greatest person I have ever met in this life!

    I love Paul Anka

Hey kats and kittens - Last night was another ep of Gilmoreland... and all's well!

In fact, I was thrilled to see Lane and her troupe finally make an appearance (Sebastian doing a shout out to the father was depends worthy!!) and I am very pleased with how Luke is handling Lorelai and her quirks. If I had a hottie who was viewed nude by 7 construction guys... well, I guess that whole statement could never apply to me... but he handled it well.

Luke is actually being the exact man that Lor needs right now. Completely understanding and able to bend to her needs... and she needs a ton. This might actually work out!

I picked up Season 4 on DVD yesterday - it has a killer trivia game on it. We will have to have a Gilmore party and play a round or two. Sadly, my case did fall apart - I was watching some extras when I heard this strange tearing noise... then the plastic disc holders simply released itself from the packaging. It didn't stop my giggles though...

    A.D. Recap

So did anyone catch A.D. last night? Good stuff. Who else is gleefully grinning and waiting for Scott Baio to take over as Bluth family attorney, Bob Lablaw?

    It's just me?

    Dammit.

Anyone got any favorite lines from last night? I had a couple...

"I can just taste those meaty leading man's parts in my mouth already!"

    Sheer genius.

    Lyrically Speaking

Hello. I saw that no one had posted today, and I thought I would throw something out that might be kind of fun on a Friday. I was listening to Elliot Smith yesterday, and I always seem to forget what a great writer he was. His lyrics were always amazing even if they were sad. So I thought it might be interesting for people to post a line of a song or lines of a song that really still blow them away everytime they hear them. I'll start the bidding with some lines from Elliot Smith's Condor Ave. from the album Roman Candle.

    "I fell onto my knees
the sound of the car driving off made me feel diseased
a sick shouting like you hear at the fairground
now I'm picking up to put away anything of yours that's still around
I don't know what to do with your clothes or your letters
it'll make a whisper out of you"

    Anyone else?

    Sin City Poll

Buttercup and I watched this visual gem last evening and I found it disturbing and entertaining. There were 3 main plot lines: Bruce Willis, Clive Owen and Mickey Rourke.

To my suprise I liked the MR plotline the best followed by BW and then CO.

All other contributions welcome. Let the love flow!

    Corpse Bride!

Movie opens on Friday! Are we excited or is it too much Burton too soon???

Buttercup and I are excited! However, the whole knee thing will be keeping us from theater enjoyment. Looks like we will be living through the eyes of others until the DVD release. We shall watch Jack Skellington and the boys to get our Burton puppettronics fix for the time being.

    sheriff and buttercup out

    my little runaway

I had a special surprise when looking at the DVD's that were released yesterday - Crime Story Season 2 hit the shelves and I was not even aware of it.

"Crime Story," for those of you who are not in the know, was a Michael Mann tv show produced in the 80's. It starred Dennis Farina as the head of Chicago's Major Crime Unit (MCU) and centered on his struggle to bring down crime boss Ray Luca. The series only lasted 2 seasons.

Even though the quality is shot, the first season DVD set is worth buying. 22 episodes (with a 120 min pilot) that range in quailty from ok to amazing. I would say there are 6-7 episodes that are as good as anything David Chase has done with the Sopranos. Michael Mann actually directed the second to last ep of the season (one of the finest!!). Unfortunately, I have heard that the series took a major nose dive with the second season. I was lent one episode on DVD this past year... and it was abysmall!!! I will be Netflixing the season.

The groundbreaking aspect of the series is that it follows not only Farina and his MCU - but we see all of the world of Ray Luca and the struggles he has to keep his power. Both characters have major flaws and often self destruct in the name of their obsessions. There is not alot of happy moments in the first season - yet, the character driven dark episodes are the best... and sadly, the 80's does infect the series at times. Odd synthesizer music seeps in once in a while... but mostly it is classic 60's tunes that cover the soundtrack.

Give it a chance - you might be surprised.
