those calves... real or implants?

Another weekend has been put into the books - none too exciting.

Friday - we did my father's birthday celebration. Go Karts and malts... good combo. He seemed to enjoy himself... but I ate exhaust for the entire race!

Saturday - spent the day working on the house; cleaning gutters - trimming weeds... that evening I went out with Josh, Hol and Dan. We discovered a little pizza dive on the south side of town. They really liked it and I thought it was ok. Then we went out to see Cinderella Man.

Crowe was good - Zewelleger was not. Giamatti owned the film... everything lit up when he entered the frame.

Last night was ENTOURAGE!!! Me and the boys were enjoying another amazing episode... (you coming drama? - Nah! I don't want anyone to see my legs!) then the storm knocked out our satellite. We will have to wait to watch the full ep.

Finally - I need to take a moment and thank our lord and savior Johnson! He was able to get 3 tickets to a special screening of Batman Begins this evening... I offered Josh up to service him for repayment - he has not taken advantage of this yet.

Now - leave me the hell alone. I got work to do.

Such vulgar language. Gosh. Good morning all!!

Jed - hope you have fun tonight at the movie. Thanks for the tip on Cinderella Man. Looks good but Renee's facial expressions always make me want to cry.

Also...I am posting a wanted ad...anyone want to help me? WANTED: One semi-insane person to take STATS 401 at ISU for the duration of 8 weeks. Starts today.

Later

What is vulgar language.

Your job posting is sad but funny. I feel empathy towards you... I cannot imagine having to take that stats course. In fact, I cannot imagine having to be in school... or even think about responsibilities after 5 pm.

8 weeks is no time at all - You can do it!

Wow, somebody get this man a juice box!

I kid, I kid.

The real question is how Krysta Jo's date went this weekend.

Though I must comment on Jed getting to see Batman Begins early:lucky son of a b*tch!

See, that vulgarity is catching...

You people! Stop the insanity with the vulgar language. I am sweet, young and innocent and shouldn't be reading such profanity.

Stats class will be interesting. Professor is not ugly at all and wears wranglers. But...he proceeded to tell us that the book we all bought at the bookstore is the wrong book and then he answered his cell phone in the middle of teaching.

Kern said...

That was an artful dodge on the date matter. Come on, share with the class, KJ.

As an aside, who answers their bloody cell during class, anyway?

krysta jo said...

I used to kick my students out of class and dock their speech grades by 1/3 of a letter grade if their phone rang during class. I guess if the prof can answer his during class, so can I.

Thankfully, all I have to get is an 85 to get an A-.

Answering a cell in class is the ultimate in cool statements. I mean, you are soooo important that everyone must witness you answering a call in the middle of schooling... how wicked it would be to be that important.

I wish my cell would ring... maybe during a meeting... so I could excuse myself and rush out to answer. Knowing that everyone has now moved from listening to the meeting... to wondering if I am ok.. and what my call is about.

I need more attention.

Sounds fair to me. I don't think I've had a class since I got a cell, so I never had a problem with it.

How did your new outfit go over on Saturday by the way?

Kern said...

Jed-Just let me know when you need a call in the middle of something, and I can strategically place one so you can excuse yourself.

It would be awesome, you would be the envy of all your friends and coworkers. Plus, it would give me an excuse to call someone.

You aren't the only one who needs some attention, my friend.

I know... my giblets need attention too!

... but not Krysta's!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Jed - you are NUTS today. Lay off the diet coke.

The dress was absolutely perfect.

Kern said...

Jed-Giblets? Is this some sort of Midwestern slang that I've missed that hasn't made its way to the coast? Are you making things up again?

Hopefully you are this wild and wacky when I return.

KJ-Glad this dress was well received. What was the surprise? Inquiring minds want to know.

krysta jo said...

Did you not read my post?? Gosh Alex. Get with the program. And..I have never heard giblets used except at Thanksgiving so I don't know what Jed has been smoking.

The surprise was the whole date - the Stillwater dinner (on the riverfront) and the drive-in theater. Plus, the dozen roses wasn't a bad surprise either.

Damfino said...

omigod... can I resist the surprise comment??? Do I have the power not to say something awfully dirty?!?!?

.... grrrrr....

Giblets is a well used phrasing that alieviates the listener from the uncomfortableness that always follows the word "genitals."

Jed - get your mind out of the gutter!

Damfino said...

He rosed you?

Gosh - this guy sexprefjumping worthy!!!

Damfino said...

See! See how uncomfortable KJ is now... way to go Kern!

krysta jo said...

I don't think that Alex is the reason I am uncomfortable JED. You are seriously on crack.

Yes..he bought me roses and I find that endearing. He's making an effort to impress me which is something new in my life - and quite exciting. The past few guys have ... well one had a half-finger and took me out for coffee once and dinner twice. Does that count? Oh and he calls me at 3 a.m. to "visit" and then gets angry when I decline. Ahhhh the trials and tribulations of the dating world.

How come I am taking smack on my own blog? This is not how life is supposed to be.

I am loving a Welch's fat free Fruit Snacks... but I am not sure if it is laced.

Well - regardless of the not-so-nice comments o-KJ, I am thrilled she had a great time... look forward to more successful date stories!

I too am thrilled for KJ's story. In my lowly defense, I posted that before I had refreshed the page to see that wonderful story.

I will have to see about these Welch's fat free snacks. I've made a real effort to not eat as much garbage the last few months. I'm not sure if it's paying off. You can be the judge when I'm back, I guess.
