"Easy Rider" and other thoughts

ER1C1

Hello all,

Well I am now 37 years old and have safely returned from New Orleans with my lovely wife. One of the highlights of the trip was a tour of St. Louis Cemetary No. 1 where Peter Fonda shot the LSD tripout scene in Easy Rider. Stood right where it all went down. Can you dig it? I could...

Will e-mail Mr. Damfino many pics of my adventure for posting......

Killed time yesterday in the Memphis airport watching ND dvd on the ibook......"Bow to your sense!!!!"
Pedro never fails to deliver the goods.

peace out.

I have often dreamed of visiting that spot in NO... doing a little acid myself... making out with some random ladies.

Er... wait. That scene kind of creeped me out!

I think I often dreamed of seeing hot chicks flash me for beads. That sounds more like me.

Tina, you fat lard.

Sorry, I also enjoyed a little ND yesterday afternoon and I am still giggling.

Definitely hitting that cemetary when I'm in NO later next month. Thanks for the tip.

We used this tour company....very good.

We did the Ghost tour with guide Midian and the Vodoo Cemetary tour with tour guide Midge. They don't wear funny costumes on the tour any more. See the site for bios, pics and coupons.....best thing we did on the trip.

Also visited the D-Day museaum. very cool if you like that sort of thing....

I can definitely see Jed dropping acid in a cemetery and lifting his shirt to acquire beads from hot chicks...

and... authankyou!

Damfino said...

Dude - I would have gone for the Vampire tour!! Wait, did you do the ghost tour or the voodoo tour... both went through the cemetary?

I wish there were more ghosts, vampires, and ghouls in Iowa... we just have murderers and rapists... and my brother.

So true, so true.

You know, I don't know about you guys, but I suddenly feel like reading about stocks.

Wait, no I don't.

Damfino said...

So true... so true.

Kern - you just made me thank the lord for depends!

Damfino said...

Sheriff! I think we should do an Easy Rider vacation... You can be Cap America - I will be Billy... Kern can play the lawyer... the girls (Drea and KJ) can be our acid trip ladies...

Tons of blow... murderous rednecks...

It would be amazing. And cheaper than Branson!

Kern said...

So true...so true.

You know, I have to tell you...Depends does an adequate job, but I'm a Poise man, myself...

The secret is the lockaway gel core...shhh...

Kern said...

Actually from what I understand, that sounds like a night in the "seedier" side of Branson.

Except in that part of Branson, you see down on their luck Kenny Rogers impersonators snorting blow off of a hooker's ass...

Damfino said...

HAHAHHHHHHHHAHAHHAHAHA

Kern... you make the depends overfloweth!!!

So true... So true....

Kern said...

I think that "So true...so true" will make an excellent new catchphrase until it's run into the ground and solicits groans of agony from all who hear it.

Damfino said...

good use of "solicits"... so true!

Damfino you are fined one morality credit for posting a duplicate comment on the Damfino Blog....please be presant at the cryogennic prision facility at 08:00 for your reprograming...that is all....

Damfino said...

That's twice today... I am just jittery... ya know... from the cocaine.

I can't be reprogrammed today.. I am going to see Batman!!

krysta jo said...

Do you want to rub it in a little more that you are going to Batman tonight?

Is Monday over yet?

Damfino said...

First off - no. Monday is not over yet... a fact I am dealing with by reading through manuals on our new Chyron machine (kill me).

Second - you don't care about Batman... there are no pink fuzzies... or any gooey girly moments.

Third - if I thought rubbing in the fact I was seeing Batman Begins in 5 hours and 7 minutes would do anything to miff Ms. KJ... I would do it.

Sadly, I am innocent.

But still very cool.

krysta jo said...

"Very cool" by your terms maybe.

I might quite possibly care about Batman. Let me check. Nope...no I do not. You are correct. I think tonight while you are watching it, I'll be diligently doing my laundry and catching a small nap.

Damfino said...

Nap away young one... nap away.

So true... so true.

Kern said...

I care that you're seeing it, you bloody b*stard!

But one never knows, there might be some gooey moments. Maybe Katie Holmes does a Lap Batdance on Christian Bale's leather enshrouded "giblets".

Either way, I am damned jealous. I do think it would be funny if there was something pink in the film. That would really throw Jed off.

Do you guys have the film "High Tension" playing there at all? I'm going to try to see it in the next couple of weeks.

And also, in re: the cocaine thing...KJ, please go check Jed's office to make sure he's not dressed up as a young Kenny Rogers, and that he does not have any hookers in there.

*SNFFFF*

So true, so true.

krysta jo said...

The mental image of Jed dressed as Kenny Rogers and snorting crack off a hookers' rear end has me trembling in my corner office with the window that overlooks campus.

It may be time for an intervention.

Kern said...

You gotta know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run

Wow, it gives that song a much funnier meaning, now that I think about it.

We could called that particular maneuver with the coke and hooker a "Roaster", after Kenny's ill fated chicken chain.

Know when to run, kids...know when to run...

Damfino said...

"I just stepped in... to see what condition my condition was in!!!"

EAT MY CHICKEN!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT... LOVE MY CHICKEN!!!!

Coke n' Kenny.... no better way to go!

Kern said...

Oh, yeah...

So true, so true.

Kern said...

That's the secret spices! It's cocaine! A-ha!

Jed, I think your Kenny Rogers mustache is crooked...

Damfino said...

So true... so true.

Wouldn't it be super sweet to eat a KR chicken meal off the ass of a hooker! With all of the bbq sauce... and coke... man...

that is pure living!

Kern said...

So true, so true.

Don't forget the biscuits. Sweet biscuits and gravy. I wonder how much an evening like that would cost.

Do you have a Kenny Rogers Roaster in Des Moines?

Damfino said...

No Kenny Rodgers... but we have a HyVee... and some sweet Valley chicks that love coke laced chicken.

krysta jo said...

Jed...quit telling my secrets - and I told you that you could only call me a Sweet Valley chick when we were alone. GOSH.

Damfino said...

I loved the Sweet Valley High girls... so blonde... so enticing to my pre-pubscent eyes.

Krysta made me laugh.

Kern said...

What is "pubscent"? Is that the smell you have when you leave a bar.

And damn the Sweet Valley High girls, and their blonde, flowing locks. Where were the sweet, down to earth, bound to be English major brunettes with cute glasses?

Well, not at Sweet Valley, I'll tell you that much...stupid Sweet Valley High, think they're so great...

I'm going to go do a Roaster...

urnotme said...

Seriously.
I log on to read about you becoming a man this weekend (breaking your arm wrestling virginity) and I find NOTHING! So, I have a proposition for you: I will not confess the measure of your manliness if you drop your big brother and take me (your bestest brother-in-law) to Batman. What do you say? Sounds good.
So true.

krysta jo said...

OH MY GOSH - I forgot to tell you all...I just saw a truck downtown that said "American All-Star Arm Wrestling."

Damfino said...

Dang - missed out on the arm-wrestling convo.. and Kern mocking me for not spelling pubescent correctly.

I hate you all.

Kern said...

Yeah, sorry about that. But look at the positives. Like my rant about Sweet Valley High girls and such.
