The End

Sometimes you just have to say goodbye... sometimes things change and parts of your life that were once so important - become expendable.

"Announcing the final season of Gilmore Girls is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. Television. This series helped define a network and created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television's most memorable, lovable characters. We thank Amy Sherman-Palladino, Dan Palladino, Dave Rosenthal, the amazing cast led by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as well as the producers, writers and crew for giving us this delightful gem for the past seven years. We would also like to thank the critics and Gilmore fans for their passionate support and promise to give this series the send off it deserves."

- it was not the ending I wanted... but it is an ending.

Yo

p.s. There is a little pain... a sort of deep gouging that is going on inside me... but I guess it has been there all year. How sad.

Wow,

It has ended at last. From Season 5 bliss.."Will you marry me" to Season 6 "WTF" t oa trasition to Season 7 the end. NExt 2 ep's are the last. I tohught I heard talk of a cliff hanger. Are re-shoots needed? Aren't they all in the can?

2 ep's left. Not the empty feeling of AD's demise but the Girls will be missed.

At least Arrested had an ending - you are correct - we end with Logan getting dumped and Lor still unsure of Luke.

No reshoots - no Amy - no closure.

This is when I hate TV!

I feel like I've been unceremoniously kicked in the colon with the business end of a Foot Joy golf shoe and dropped in a Smurfs kiddie pool full of bactine.

And then I had to find out that GG was cancelled...that's some cold shit...

No kidding Kern. Hell, How WILL WE LIVE?
I mean when Wayne Gretzky become the Thing in season 3 and Batman consemated his love with his young ward in season 6, All the memories.
I am very angry about the ending too, with Galactus showing up and the zenomorph from "Something is out there" killing nearly everyone... Damn it. I want closure too.
I really... I'm going to go to a corner and cry now.
Sorry to be a dick, but you can make fun of my TV if you want to... oh wait, I don't watch any.

Poor Mr. Johnson has missed Kern's point - Alex was a fan... he meant what he said.

Matty J you are a bold face liar - I sit and watch you take in Sopranos and Entourage every week!

Of course we could easily veer this conversation to the comic book reading area...

Thanks Jed.

Also, just for the record, the hyperbole was purely for comedic effect. In all honesty, GG has been in a downward spiral for two seasons now, so it's kind of like seeing a horse limping to the Elmer's factory.

And Jed's point is paramount here. Take anything that anybody likes and you will find someone else in the world who finds it holds no value for them. While I don't enjoy most sports other than auto racing, for example, I realize that there are legions of grown men who yell at TV's and throw things when a group of men that they've never met and will likely never meet fail to acheive a task with a ball/puck/vehicle; though I don't generally participate in this ritual, I understand that it's important to those people, and I let them have their fun. I can see this same logic applied to comics, which are at their root, episodic entertainment which I adore as well.

I get that Matt's making a joke, as well, but Jed's point is interesting in that it leads us to realize that entertainment is such a subjective and fluid element of our lives, ridicule of its various types is pretty futile.

I like pro-wrestling...

oh, wait... I shouldn't have posted that. It doesn't help my argument at all.
This blogging thing is new to me.
No, No. Jed understands this is for him. I've never understood his love of the gilmore people... and I'm an @$$.
It totaly is subjective. I and (some of our) mutual friends LOVE pro-wrestling, but the first people to attack my watching wrestling are the ones who watch day time soaps.
My entertainment just comes with a lot more violence and a lot less fluttering of curtians to signify sex.
AND... Jed, I'll have your comics you have on a standing order delivered this weekend when we watch the TV I don't watch.
