I tried watching this the other day. Two things.

Number 1: For some reason the QT at my house is not loving the videos and will only play halfway through.

Number 2: It's kind of funny in it's own way, but much as Jed felt about Pancake Mountain, I'm not totally into it.

I like the combination Crimson Tide/The Rock ref. (Well, it reminded me, at least, more of The Rock as it went on...)

Lala... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
* I'd like to hunt her Red October - even if she is on the Crimson Tide!

Oh!

* Uh, I mean "ONLY IF I WAS SINGLE, " :)

'Fino and 'Bunny: I didn't see your Tikiblog posts? (The only 1 I've seen is 'Fino's, in response to this latest episode.) R U posting to different, Tiki-related blogs? Just curious...

Damfino said...

Holy Gawd... Bry just went there... without provocation!

The Sheriff and I posted in Ep 8's comments... there are about 250 to rummage through.

Kern - you need to click "get episode" on your iTunes... right now you are just watching a preview. Also - you are a tool.

Damfino said...

Fill that prescription Johnny-Johnny!

I WILL NOT FILL THE PRESCRIPTION!!!

Kern said...

Jed-I don't have itunes at work. I did it at home, and I did do what you said. My quicktime seems to do that with other QT files.

Also, piss off.

PS-Crotchety rant about how annoying PDA's are to people without significant others.

Kern said...

I meant of course to say, that this rant can be found at my blog this morning.

WTF?!?!!! I watched Ep. 7 and 8 yesterday and the respective read comments after each one, and there were only like 35 comments for Ep. 8. ?!???!?!?!!!?

Eh, I'll write it off as a glitch in the Matrix - THIS TIME!!!

Damfino said...

I like PDA... being a part of it is nice... but yeah... I guess if you are sans woman and are forced to watch others love openly...

that would get old.

Not sure what world Nut Flopper is living in.

Kern said...

Quite old. I'm trying to think of other potentially fruitful topics that reflect the AARP side of me. Everyone tells me I'm secretly an old man.

Kern said...

By the way, did you know Mastrofski has a blog now?

Damfino said...

Must see... where?

Kern said...

Mastrofski's Blog

Kern said...

He only updates once a week though.

Wow, I f'd up my previous post: " ... and the respective read comments ... ". WFT?

Should've been: "I watched Ep. 7 and 8 yesterday and read their respective comments after viewing each one ... "

I pride myself on using proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc., (with exceptions for blogging and e-mail, when and whree appropriate) and that just bugged me!

WELCOME TO MY WORLD! MUUUUUUHAAAA HAAAAA HAAA HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I love PDA! I want to get a iPaq or Axim, but they are just like any other tech gadget - wait a month and the new one, twice as powerful for 2/3rds the price, is out, making yours obsolete.

J/K - "light" PDA is OK w/ me, but don't like performing or viewing much more than that... Annoying to me even being married. Unless it's 2 decent-looking chicks.

Damfino said...

Well that goes without saying McCabe.. really!

Congrats on berating yourself and your grammar (see how I type that and don't even care that it no maka no sense!).

Kern said...

Flop-Amen. To both things. It's amazing how quickly my home machine is antiquated. I built an almost brand new machine with my ex-brother in law almost three years ago, and I went to look for processors to replace my old Socket A Athlon XP(forget the number, but it's only 1.6 Ghz, I think), and I can't seem to find any regular Athlon processors to switch it out with. Not to mention the new video card stuff, what with the new PCI-e cards and all.

Also, I am not as big a stickler on PDA's if it's two cute girls either. Alas, that only seems to happen when I go to certain bars here or I flip past Skinamax.

FlopTheNuts said...

Oh, I am the master of stating/typing what goes without saying!!!

Self beration: knock yourself before others get a chance to!

(Meant in a totally non-sexual way...)

Damfino said...

But that is grand advice either way - in fact, as I told Kern, he needs to do a little self PDA to get back at those who spurn him.

Just make sure to zip up carefully once you start running...

um... someone told me that was good advice.

I hear ya, Brother Kern! (Hmmmm... only after typing that do I find the serendipitous similarity to Brother Cane ["And Fools Shine On"] funny. Weren't they from Des Moines, IA?) I won an "Ultimate Gaming System" from MicroCenter back in March, and even then, it really was not "Ultimate". But it's still a pretty kick-ass machine - to me, anyway. Sad...

I love the upgrade! Have you hit www.pricewatch.com yet? It's a weird, sick thing with me - I love to take someone else's "trash" and max it out by hitting Pricewatch and/or eBay. Start with a PIII mobo, max out RAM, CPU, throw a decent video and sound in, then, uh... leave it sit. Damn, I need to either put some of my older PCs to use or donate 'em.

My dream, and how I measure my success: the day I can buy all the components at once to build the BEST, NEWEST, FASTEST PC! ("Best", of course, being in the eye of the beholder, but if, say, oh, 75% of others would agree with me on a particular component, I'd consider it "best".)

FlopTheNuts said...

ROFLMAO, 'Fino!!!!!!!

Kern said...

Flop-Right on. I did go to Pricewatch. It's one of my favorite sites ever! The thing is, I'm having trouble now remembering what processors are compatible with my mobo. I know it's a socket A, and I think it's 133/166 fsb. I may have that wrong. And even at that, I can never keep it straight what that means exactly. I'd love to just be able to get a new processor and drop it in there. Any suggestions? I think mine is an Athlon XP and it's around 1.6 Ghz. Or should I just go ahead and buy a new mobo and processor, say, an Athlon 64?

I like AMD's if you couldn't tell...

Damfino said...

Quick - give him the Red Oktober!

You comp geeks and your comp talk. I sit happily in my blissful Mac laiden world... unknowing of how much work goes into the machine... or how "build" one similar to it.

My G5 (Dual 2.7 GHz processor and 2 GB of ram) loves me in ways that a computer shouldn't.

Kern said...

Jed took the word "heatsink" a little too literally.

Damfino said...

Oh you filthy b@stard!

Damfino said...

EAT YOUR METAMUCIL!

Damfino said...

Can't shake you PC nerds.

Kern said...

Full frontal nerdity at the Damfinoblog.

Speaking of Wi-fi, I just switched out my dad's old router for a new wireless one. His house is wired for internet connection anywhere, but he really only wants the one computer and his laptop connected. He was pretty thrilled when I was done, so that was good to hear.

Kern said...

My first comp was a C-64. I loved that thing. You could plug game carts directly into it. Good times.

I was thinking about it the other day, and remembered this odd program that was kind of like a programming language but not exactly. It was called LOGO. Anyone remember that one?

Kern said...

I believe he's running McAfee on his machines. Hopefully that will be good enough virus protection.

Kern said...

It was a Netgear Wireless Router. I think it's 108.2 Mpbs i believe.

Damfino said...

Flop is dead... you two will follow. Geek speak blows.

Buttercup said...

I have tuned out and no longer following this blog speak. You guys are nerds. Flop something has to be done about your basement. I am amazed that you moved all that crap from Texas to Michigan. I am out this blows

How about a filthy term then?

Upper Decker.

Kern said...

Yeah, rimming seems pretty filthy. I think the Cleveland Steamer is right up there though.

Kern said...

Props to the Sheriff on his Stroke Different campaign, by the way. I laughed. Heartily.

Kern said...

The definition

Kern said...

Personally, I think anything sexual with poop involved is pretty filthy. Such as the blumpkin.

The blumpkin is essentially when a girl performs oral gratification on a man while he's on the toilet taking a shit. If it is two guys, it's called a "brother Blumpkin".

Kern said...

See everyone, there's no dork talk here! Come join the fun again.

By the way, has anyone else checked out how our Bunny Out experiment is going on Urban Dictionary? We're rocking it with 8 thumbs up a piece! Only 1 thumb down for my def, and two for the Sheriff's!

Kern said...

So does would you consider the blumpkin a fetish?

I notice no one is flocking back to the thread. We may as well just start talking about computers again.

Kern said...

I meant, would you, not does would you. I'm a bit distracted by the Gilmore pic on Jed's blog page...Gilmore goodness. Or badness, if I had my way...

FlopTheNuts said...

F*ck!!! I had a long geek-talk post typed up, got distracted by work (of all things), finished the post, entered the damn code, clicked Login and Publish, but my post is nowhere to be seen!!!!!!

F*ck it.

I honestly didn't know what a Cleveland Steamer was. I gotta agree w/ Kern that anything involving shart churns the ole' stomach.

Kern said...

It's pretty gross to be sure. Most people are also not aware of the Blumpkin thing.

Too bad about the geeks being defeated here. I was enjoying that particular conversation. I think I need to upgrade though, as things in Photoshop are chugging a lot more slowly these days as I do more graphically intense projects.

I'm not too thrilled about spending another 200 or 300 bucks for a new mobo and processor though.
