Short Story Snippet At Listen!...etc.

Check out a paragraph from a new short story I've just started. Slow going, but I think the end result may turn out well.

It took you five years to write that??? Man you must write slow!

Seriously though -- good luck. And you are mighty brave to share so early. Although I am not one to share my art -- ever. I've written whole novels before and just hidden them away in a desk. I've drawn and painted only to put them in a box in my basement.

You shot a ninja porn once - only to sit it on a shelf, never to be released.

Yeah!! Where is my scene!! I had a whole monolouge, and it will never see the light of day!!

Deit Heimley said...

Oh, and we had that script too! Never even shot that!!

God I'm pathetic!! Kill me now!

Not pathetic... L-A-Z-Y.

Oh, yeah, right, I'm the lazy one. You know because I never edited a whole porn documetary I shot. Wait, no, that wasn't me, that was you!!!

Exactly - LAZY!

Good. I'm glad you can admit you have a problem. Admiting your problem is the first step in overcoming your extreme laziness!!

Deit - you are not a Gilmore fan - would you ever like to watch the DVD's I have and join in the fun?

We still gather every Tuesday -wine - food - Gilmore fun!

I am not a Gilmore-hater, I just find other things to do with my time -- like write things nobody else will ever read.

I would like to gather en masse and see something, but not tonight. Wyatt and I are catching up on our Six Feet Under. Not having HBO, I have to catch up on a lot of good stuff.

Not sure why I am sharing this with the world on a blog instead of an email. Suppose I'm just lazy.

I'm going to continue working on this thing with as much time as I can spare. Hopefully this doesn't conflict too much with me doing my art. I have a bad tendency to get fixated on a project like that once I start until it's done. And I have four or five more stories to write after this one.

Jed, if it helps pique your interest any, this is the story where the Missionary bets his 1968 GTO.
