Feeling Gilmoreless

It is a beautiful rainy day here in ol' Iowa - and I am in need of some Gilmore. They return on September 20th - waaaay too far off. I want to lay on the couch - with a nice glass of wine - and watch hours of the girls...

with the rain coming down.

"That'll do pig!"

Can't wait for the new season. Missing Tuesday night fun.

I woke up dizzy, and for some reason my joints hurt. Unfortunately, I wasn't drinking.

At least then there would be a fun excuse for it. Other than that it's a great day. Kind of.

Guess Who was funny. It was pretty cute but relatively predictable.

urnotme said...

Um, no i haven't seen it, but I figured it'd be exactly how KJ just described it... I still wanna see it though...

Ahite ladies- I'm out.

What about Arrested Development can't forget third season of that Jed. "Michael you know everything I do I do it for you." Good words of wisdom from Gob Bluth. Love the Girls though can't wait to see them again.

I also miss the Gilmores. I'm a little concerned about this new aimless Rory, however. And how disrespectful was she towards the end of last season? Ouch. Banner year for the young lady.

From sweet young girl to homewrecker to college dropout. I think she needs a taste of the Kern's tough love.

And that goes for Lorelai as well.

Oh my. Who keeps coming in as anonymous? Show your face!!

I watched three episodes of Season three last night - quite delightful if I say so myself!

I can't believe my above comments didn't elicit some kind of scolding for being my mind being in the gutter in relation to the GG.

I think it's become the norm, finally.

krysta jo said...

I have actually gotten used to the gutter comments about the Gilmore Girls. They don't even register anymore. See what you people are doing to me? Stripping me of my innocence.

Kern said...

Woo hoo!

Hear that boys? We've done it again!

Damfino said...

Wanting quality time with the girls is not that dirty.

krysta jo said...

Ok now that seriously crossed a line.

Kern said...

My Apologies.

krysta jo said...

I CANNOT believe you just deleted it.

Kern said...

Man, I'm having the worst luck today. Was that the wrong thing to do?

Kern said...

Queen: Check out Epicurious. They usually have a lot of awesome recipes for things.

Damfino said...

He's filthy - yet helpful.

What did you delete Alex? How dare you?!?! I am very disapointed!

krysta jo said...

I am disappointed. It was filthy; it crossed a line; but it was still semi-funny. Deleted comments just can't happen.

Damfino said...

What a deletor.

Kern said...

Honestly, I didn't think it was that bad. It was a joke about me and the Gilmores, and corporal punishment. I didn't think it was any more over the line than the dirty word thread. I am confused about the fervor over deleted posts though. If I was really that awful, I'm sorry, but it kind of seemed to fall right in line with the sort of gutter antics we normally partake in at the Damfinoblog.

I'm throwing myself down the stairs right after this post.

Damfino said...

Wait - I am pissed that you deleted it!! Never pissed about being too filthy... there are no limits here bub!

krysta jo said...

What the h*ll? This has gotten way out of hand --- it was all in good humor Alex.

Damfino said...

Did you just censor the word "hell?" Now that is out of hand!!

krysta jo said...

Thanks Deit!!!

I will say it now....HELL HELL HELL HELL HELL

Is it 5 yet?

Damfino said...

You only have to say it 3 times to go.

krysta jo said...

to hell? so now I am going to hell? Probably...all my friends are going to hell and now I am going to join them in hell and we'll have a hell of a good time.

Damfino said...

Actually... I am not going. Gotta free pass from my early days. Sorry....

enjoy the eternal damnation!

Kern said...

You know, I think it was all this Northwest Sensitivity Training that they make us take for work up here.

I can attempt to replicate the post for the amusement of the masses.

It went a little something like this:

I think my kind of quality time with the Gilmores might be dirty. I can see it now:

"Rory! Lorelai! I told you not to leave your underthings on the floor by the hamper. That's it, time for a spanking!"

There would be swift and mighty justice from the firm, yet shockingly soft hand of Kern.

Hopefully this will get us back on the track of good, clean filth.

krysta jo said...

Hell will be party and Jed will be sad he missed it. I promise. My friends who have become acquainted with the cops over the years will be there to join us and they are a good good time!

Kern said...

I hope someone brings the good booze, at least.

Damfino said...

Kern - you should delete that.

KJ -I am not sure why cop friends would join you.... but hey, whatever makes you forget about the heat!

Kern said...

So I should delete that post again? Dammit, make up your mind people!

Kern said...

You know, come to think of it, though I am sorry if my post was a bit gutter, it was funny and I stand behind my filth by God.

I imagine I'll be in purgatory. I'm not good enough for heaven, but I'm too square for hell.

Kern said...

Where did you hear that?

Damfino said...

Deit - such anger, hell must weigh heavily upon you.

Damfino said...

Off kids - heading home to dream of ladies and drink some beer - maybe belch a few times... and scratch my ass.

Yo

Kern said...

Besides that, I would have thought people would have been happy to see that side of me. I'm not made of stone, here.

Keep in mind these are the only thoughts I have to cling to in my lonely nights. I also use them to supress memories of bad dates like the one with Darth Tater a couple months ago.

Kern said...

I agree. That or I feel like my last post is like the nail in the thread's coffin. I'm at work so I couldn't really hear the Fresh Air piece.

I can't wait to go home. I'm going to do some more writing, and hopefully get this story done rather quickly.

I'm also awaiting word on my sweet giclee print of the piece I did the other day.

Kern said...

The above post is not what I would have posted as my last word. I guess the conversation just trailed off or something.

urnotme said...

Oh hell.
