Sunday is dead...

So sad to see our Sunday gatherings for DEADWOOD come to an end. The final episode of the season was... ok. This entire season did not really travel very far. You can tell the series is looking forward to many years on HBO and does not plan to rock the boat too much right now.

Dan and Jill cooked up some amazing pizza!

Garlicy goodness!

We got in some serious 4 Square action - with Loren taking a major hit to his chin (and Jer went down doing some wicked break dancing moves). The evening was perfected with Jill's "Better than sex" cake. Twas so!

Here are some pics

Dan eats - ewwww!

Jill poses uncomfortably

Johnson's best side

Jer and Loren - trading 4square war stories

The weekend was a blast - my cousin came up and got a little rambuncious (sp). Drinks at the Royal Mile - two cases of Boulevard... and some creepy drunken Josh spewing stories of experiences past - use your imagination.

Here is Jeremy (or Nassman as Josh refers to him)

Beware of JC Penny's restrooms - you never know what yer gonna find in there.

ram-bunc-tious - meaning rude and boisterous.

I love my dictionary.

Jed, you've become quite the party animal from what I can gather from the entries on this blog. I'm ready to come back and raise the rambunctious quotient another few notches.

And on another note, are you guys still playing four square with a basketball? Come on, man...proper tools for the job and all. Get a red rubber square ball. Embrace full regression into childhood games. If nothing else, they hurt a hell of a lot less if you take a shot to the pills.

Forgot the bloody t... drat.

Party animal I am... Sith I did like... cool Yoda is... YESSS!

Everyone has suggested the rubber ball - but until someone ponies up the cash - the pills will take a beating.

Watch for a blog about my new roller blades - Johnson dropped them off last night. I will be learning to blade and also have joined his roller hockey team...

YIKES!

I guess I know what host gift I should get you guys. A couple of bottles of wine and an actual red rubber ball. It's up to your discretion or lack thereof if you mix the two. What kind of wine are you kids drinking over there these days. I want to bring you some of best the NW has to offer...

PS-Wear a cup

We got on the Pinot noir kick from Sideways... love any red... I just cannot get into any white...

We are not very good wine drinkers.

Just bring yerself out here... we need a power player in the game.

p.s. - already do

Well, my man, you are in luck. Oregon's Willamette Valley is the source of some of the most renowned Pinot Noirs in the country. If yr not really wine drinkers, what else would yr inner lush desire?

I'm counting down the days. Only about a month and a half left!!!

I didn't know we were getting into wines. OOH! Well! That's my subject. I find that Pinot is OK, but you have to pair it correctly. Don't just drink Pinot because they drank it on Sideways. For instance, I know of a very nice little Reisling that, when paired with very sweet desserts, can take on this refreshing tone that I just rave about. I can't remember the name because it's a German import.
BUT, if you want a great Pinot, get the Coppola Pinot Noir. It will be tough to find, but it's well worth it. BUT don't get it unless you are pairing it with a strong cheese, or a spicy sauce.
Also from the Coppola collection, try the Rosso. It's a blended table wine that is just wonderful if you are just sitting around drinking wine and talking.
Just a few of the many bottles I drink on a regular basis. I go through about half a bottle a day, so I do try a lot of different types.

I don't know much about wine, but I can say I've had a few Rieslings that were pretty fantastic.

Twas? WTF is wrong with you man? I'm beginning to wonder about you. Again.

The Coppola Pinot? I have never had it - interesting. The Rosso had a frangrance of pork... or maybe I just thought of how fat Francis is.

I gotta have you two meet - Deit and Kern - you could riff for hours.

urnotme - eat me

I too am partial to Coppola. However, I also enjoy Blackstone - their reds are quite nice and I don't really jive well with red wine - I am a reisling girl myself but that's because I like to drink sweet wines because I am sweet.

Jed --- you make me laugh. The pink flip flops have died... Sad news.

I am so sorry Krysta. If there is anything I can do to help you through this... let me know.

I am not sure I have had the Blackstone... but I know of it.

Missed you yesterday...

Stopping by today - keep your pants on...

Kern said...

I second that motion.

Please keep yr pants on...

You people are filth

Kern said...

Filth? Filth? Oh good sir, you have not yet seen the meaning of the word...but then again, the morning's young.

And if you feel that strongly about it, go ahead take your pants off. I don't know about your office, but they keep the temp pretty low in here, which is a one of a multitude of reasons I generally keep mine on.
