I can't do this all on my own...

New Years come and gone... hmpf. I have never really enjoyed the New Years parties - always sort of lead up to nothing. This year we had big plans that lead to smaller enjoyable ones.

My buddy Bob got married... that was the big one.

The wedding was held in Grimes and was a much smaller affair than I expected. Bob only had his best friend Trevor and his brother John stand with him.

Jodi looked gorgeous - par usual for her.

Devin spiffed himself for the occasion (he is always spiffing himself - can't get him to stop!).

Josh attended... sort of (don't ask and I won't blow a gasket telling that story!!!).

Dan, Hol and Matt came along to support ol Bobby as well!

Here are some snippets...

Hol - giddy.

Jed - knifey.

Devin - winky.

Johnson - pervy.

The boys - tuxy!

We did not hold out at the reception until midnight - we hightailed it over to Barb and Jason's where we discovered Wendy, Shannon and Pam getting ready to play a rousing game of Trivial Pursuit the Pop Culture Edition! Devin, Josh and I joined in... and ushered in the new year with a win for the lads.

NEW SCRUBS TONIGHT AT 7PM CENTRAL!!!!! WATCH OR DIE!!!!

Oh - Arrested Development ruled last night!

"We must ask for support from the Home Buyers Organization."

"HBO?"

"No - I think it's Showtime!"

Yo!

Blast these long weekends...i foget my time. Thought last night was Sunday and forgot about AB..damn.

It was not a total loss for the Kreitner's however since we had the house on lockdown for all of season 4 and the first 1/4 of season 5 of Gilmore Girls for the last 2 days.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, all!!!

Ah, yes, another exciting New Year's at the McCabe household: Had some champagne and pie; successfully did not wake up Ella after we whispered Happy New Year to her and gave her a kiss; commented to each other that, while valiant, Dick Clark's efforts to appear on TV for his 138th New Years were just sad (come on, he sounded drunk). Wrapped it up by watching half of Super Troopers and succumbing to the sugar/alcohol crash!

It was cool, interesting, and a little weird, though, to be in the same time zone as the broadcast.

Speaking of Netflix, the McCabes had their Christmas Sunday (New Year's Day), and my present to the family was joining Netflix! I think we're gonna love it. I decided to go with the 3-at-a-time, unlimited a month for now. I may bump that up - we'll see what our turnaround is like and how much we like and use the service. I'm starting with 24, season 1. I've never seen an episode, have really wanted to for quite some time now (which explains why the 6 disks are the first in my queue). Trish's first will be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which neither of us have seen.

My Dish DVR should get tonight's Scrubs in case I forget and miss it! Sweet!

I started with the 3 a month... cut it back to 1. Once I got through my TV needs... a few movies a month did me fine!

Watch it or die? Are you serious?

Happy New Year All!

Sheriff-I almost missed AD as well, but remembered what day it was somewhere around six. So I know what you mean.

Jed-Great pics and everything. I would love to send the happy couple a wedding present if you have any idea where I might send it to that would be helpful.

Flop-Netflix does indeed rule! Though, I've been going through a "let them sit around forever" phase, so I'm not really getting my money's worth at the moment. I have had the same Antonioni movies sitting around for over a month. I must remedy that. By the way, thanks for all yr computer advice. I got my new HD and I'll be hooking it up tonight or tomorrow. Ordering the new mobo soon as well.

KJ-I hope he's not serious. I think it'd be a terrible way to go dying at Jed's fanatic hand while he screams about the virtues of Scrubs.

Oh, and remember to Save Our Bluths! Tell your friends.

Happy New Year to all. The Kreitner family is also sick. I blame little Ella for this one. but hey what can you do. So it was even better to sit around and watch the Gilmore marathon. Time slips away from you when you are watching.
Flop I cannot believe that you and my sis have not seen charlie. Thank you god that Cheer up Charlie was omitted from the new version. My thumb got tired of hitting the skip button every time it came on.
I have at home "Pippi" from netflix. To make it even better last night we watched the Gilmore girls where Pippi made a come back. I believe that tonight I will have to partake in Pippi to remember all the good. and Memorize that song. Oh so good.

These words are getting longer. What is the deal. I take it spammers figured out how to break the 5 letter codes. Big bummer

I think Jed's serious but there probably wouldn't be any screaming. He'd probably just send you some poison muffins

krysta jo said...

I KNEW I should have stayed away from those muffins....

OMG!!! Jed is the Muffin Man!!!

"The first two were me, the rest were copycats..."

Just so you know, the pastry I am trying to have sent to your place is to the best of my knowledge, tasty AND poison free!

I can't believe Kreitner didn't chime in with the muffin man comment!

I am more into death by whining.

Sheriff probably would have if he'd seen the ep.
