YOU LIKE EATING THE RED CARPET!?!?!?

For the first time in a looooong time - Family Guy was the funniest show this week.

I watched the back to back Arrested Development last night - almost choked to death after Michael pushed Mr. F into the volcanic lava (the choking started with Mr. F holding out the prize to Rita - that shot was hi-lar-i-ous!) - yet felt a little lacking after.

The gang ran out and got some Dairy Queen (which is always a good call) and came back and watched FG and AD! HOLY CRAP! Family Guy's opening left me in ruins!!! I was dying with the Osama bit (pushing the limits of taste... but that is why it is wonderful!!) and then the entire Naked Gun opening was the best thing they have ever done. Ending with Homer being crushed!!!! Dear God - it was perfect!!

Props to the FG crew! Well done boys (and gals).

AD was pretty good... strange "to be continued" thing.

"I'm off my ass and I have not gotten down to the label yet!!!"

YO!!!!

Combine the horn bleeping dinner sequence on FG with "Michael, you are such a p*ssy" - "I can't believe we had to bleep that - it would have been so touching!"... and you have me falling into a LMAO coma!

I also have to say that Tobias dressing up as a mole and stomping the tiny town while George Michael swooped in on a jet pack with the Japanese investors looking on in horror had me howling.

I took great pleasure in calling Josh my personal MRF after the show.

Made me giggle deep in the cockle!

Do you mean the cockles of your heart or were you giggling in a lower area?

Don't make me get specific Kern - no good could come of that!

Fino-Sorry about that. The image of a laughing dick seemed funny for some reason.

INAPPROPRIATE.

Shouldn't this be clean wholesome fun....he he he. Just thought you would all get a chuckle out of that one. Since being with my husband I have learned that I can go over the edge just as quickly as he can.

I'm afraid to ask, but does anyone know how the numbers have been for AD this season?

Damfino said...

The numbers have been horrible. It averages a 2.2 rating... last place for the night.

In comparison, Gilmore averages a 4.2 - and that is on the WB!

AD averaged about a 5 last year - Family Guy is behind that number with a 4.5 average. The Simpsons does about an 8.6. So all of them are way behind.

This will be the last year for Arrested.

I wonder if it would do better if they moved it back to Sundays at 8:30. They should get rid of that shitbomb called The War at Home. That's gotta be one of the worst tv shows ever. I can't help but think that even as horrible as The Simpsons are, they at least give a slight boost to whatever's following it. Plus, there's not much good on Sundays.

Do you think it could survive on another network?

AD is toast. War at Home has already been renewed for next season. The piece of crap that it is gets higher ratings than AD last year.

AD just came up for actor raises... that means costs went up... on a show that does not perform... that is not good.

I think DVD sales have helped!

It will not be picked up by another station.

So I guess from here on out AD = Arrested Development and not American Dad? :)

BC, U stole my "Side Boob" FG ref (from yesterday's "No suck ..." post)!

Hmmmm... horn bleep on FG (Lois' rant after she spills the chips), horn bleep on AD... Coincidence?!?!! Well, yeah, I guess...

AD is American Dad and Arrested Development... keep up Flop.

Oh, great, like I needed more confusion.

I guess there aren't too many (if any at all?) characters with the same name between the two shows, so I might be OK.
