... to the lovely couple

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Bloggers - today is the anniversary for our dear Sheriff and Buttercup. They celebrate their 2nd year of bondage, continuing to love and honor the hell outta one another.

Greg and Drea are an amazing couple of people who continue to have a solid relationship that I often can bounce my life questions and issues off of. Hopefully they can party down in proper celebration!

This weekend Greg informed me that their anniversary coincided with my grandparents - today would have been my Grandpa and Grandma's 60th Wedding Anniversary!! Two major relationships in my life - four people who really have helped me understand how wonderfully life can be lived... all celebrate one day.

This world is crazy like that!

Happy Anniversary Greg and Andrea!
Happy Anniversary Grandma... you too Billy!

By the way Jed, I can't help being so detail oriented, but based on the patch on your grandfather's uniform I was wondering if he was in the Army Air Corps?

If so do you know where he was stationed?

Just curious...

Thank you all for the warm wishes. Buttercup was the one who noticed that our wedding dates were the same. I hope I am lucky enough to be married to my wonderful wife for 60 years!

Not to threadjack or anything, but I have a new review up as well as an interesting link for all the Arrested Development fans around here. It's like Bluth mana from heaven.

Kern - got your message late last night.. did a little MNF watching with the team.

Grandpa was stationed down in Texas... not sure if it was Houston or what.

Sheriff... what age will you be after being married 60 years?

Hmmmm

(no more pathetic-jed-nosex - comments you bastard!!)

Jed, was your grandpa ever stationed overseas? A long time my Dad was teaching me about the different numbers for the Army Air Corps as well as Bomber Groups and divisions and what their patches and insignias looked like.

I think I had relatives that were in both the 8th and the 12th, which I think(perhaps mistakenly) were England and the Mediterranean regions respectively.

Forgot about MNF running later in Midwest. I'll catch you some other time.

Grandpa never left the states - he was honorably discharged when the war ended.

He was in the Airbourne... paratroopers... but he taught physical training in boot camp instead of fighting overseas.

I will be a spry 95 the day of my 60th aniversary.

Don't fret Jed, the sun even shines on a dead dogs ass every now and then. Stiff upper....ummmm....lip.

My older sister was stationed in Texas when she was in the army. She was at Ft. Bliss in El Paso.

Man, it was hot down there...

It's still stiff...

... you cruel bastard.

Don't worry Jed, you've got a better track record with the ladies than me at least. That should make you feel better.

Hmmm - nope, still want to down some JD and sleep for a week.

Jesus, think how I must feel then.

But the good news is, that if you're depressed the theme of my music reviews this week will be a perfect soundtrack. It's all depressing tunes to mope to!
