It's great to be young and insane!

I was always a giant fan of Michael Keaton; I loved BEETLEJUICE as much as a non-goth child of the 80's could. That led me to BATMAN - hasn't aged as well, but Keaton still holds my interest. Hell, I even loved THE SQUEEZE! But more importantly, I loved watching THE DREAM TEAM over and over again!

I bought it for my older brother last year for Christmas - and last night, I finally broke into it and watched it for him.

Though the laughs are majorly dated (seeing Peter Boyle's butt did not envoke the giggles it used to), I still found myself enjoying the very simple film. It really made me wish that Keaton still had a career... and now I have the urge to rent WHITE NOISE, just to see what he is up to (thank God for that flick - there was no way I was renting JACK FROST).

I also took a half hour to watch Stevens' Rock Star INXS show. Hmmm - ya know, I don't dig American Idol... and this sorta seemed like a hyped up version of that. I got to hear the Marley tune (yippe) then watched as 3 kids sang different INXS songs for a bid to stay on the show. Luckily, the gomer of the trio was picked to leave. I am afraid I won't be watching again (this is the sort of crap that Stevens begs us to view... and then avoids Gilmore with all of his might?!?!).

Finally, Josh and I are heading out to see DEUCE tonight - our buddy Matt Johnson gave Jerry some tickets... and poor Jer has to work. I will let you know how filthy the flick is tomorrow. My only memory of the first film was trying to eat pizza while the Sheriff unloaded his hork in the bathroom - continuing to dry heave for many minutes!

Lovely eh?

Yo

I remember seeing the Dream Team in the theatre as a kid, and loving the hell out of it. I also miss Keaton.

I had the misfortune of once giving in to my morbid curiosity and watching about ten minutes of Jack Frost. After two, I wished to god someone would go after the fucker with a hair dryer.

I imagine "Deuce" is going to be an apt title for the Bigelow movie. But that's just my impression. The leaning Tower of Penis makes me hope that not all of the jokes are going to be so obvious.

Just thought I'd share before I have to go to the library for the day. Later.

gizoogle.com was awesome!

Ok Ok
Last nights show of Rockstar sucked bigtime. I figured it would considering I asked you all to check it out. My luck. Plus, they didn't have that dude play Mr. Brightside. Seriously. Big disapointment. Please don't compare this to American Idol. If you catch this show on Tuesdays it's great, but then again I love listening to cover songs and INXS.

I would also like to know what happened to Rae Dawn Chong. She was in The Principal, as I happened to mention the other day.

You know I think she did some action/softcore porn movie in the mid-nineties, but I might be wrong about that. When I have some time to hit up the IMDB, I'll know for sure.

Rae Dawn Chong is still working! After such classics as Commando and Soul Man (which she met and married C. Thomas Howell - divorced after 3 yeras), Rae settled in with some straight to video wonders!

Head to IMDB for specific title names for Netflixing!

Sheriff - did you get action after the Squeeze?

Urnotme - thought you had to work last night.

Kern - we should bombard Keaton with fan mail!

I concur. How can we reach him?

White Noise is worth a rent.

Josh has the Foo CD.

Damfino said...

Bring on the Foo!

Still fearful of White noise... oh... and he did Herbie this summer.

You should give it a rent. I think Hy-Vee on 74th has 99 cent rentals on Mondays this month. Check it out.

Good post, thanks.

no action but as it appears plenty of spam for your dining pleasure....ummmmmm SPAM......

Damfino said...

Our SPAM is getting to be more heavy than our convos... not good.

I like cottage cheese - warm.

Kern said...

Ugh. Cottage cheese. I'm having flashbacks to my hideous date with Darth Tater...

Fried spam for diner...reminds me of my old days as a wild and untaimed ute......thank you Joe Pesci for a word that will live forever....

For some reason I have an aversion to Spam. My dad, however, loves the stuff. I think there was fleeting period in my own childhood which I enjoyed the canned wonder that was Spam.

Damfino said...

Thinking of Spam actually makes me drool. Frying Spam is marvelous... and I have never lived in a trailer (but I was bathed in a kitchen sink!).

The Spam museum rocks.

krysta jo said...

Jed are you putting down trailer life? I should sincerely hope not, because there is no finer living than in a trailer home. It has wheels - you can move whenever you get that urge.

No WAY...the Mid-day host Gretchen just called me from Lite 107.1 to inform me that they are starting a new radio program called Sharing Life...with some lady....she is going to tell stories of family togetherness and play uplifting music. Supposedly it is the best way to end your day.

**That was the weirdest call I have ever gotten at work**

oh good lord

krysta jo said...

Hey...that is my patented saying. You now owe me $5,000 for using it.

(just call me Donald)

KJ-You're Fired!

Kern said...

Was that better?

Damfino said...

OMIGOD - Gretchen from 107.1 called me earlier today too! We are complete besties!

Damfino said...

And new rule - never ever ever ever ever ever ever...

ever - spout that overused DT crap line.

It makes me naseous.

krysta jo said...

Your lack of spelling makes me nauseous but it also makes me laugh.

You said besties. I thought we were bff.

Damfino said...

EWWWWWW!!!!

weirdo - I am outtie!

yo (and where were you today missy? talk tomorrow!)

krysta jo said...

missy? I was at work all day.

In tomorrow morning too.

I'm out like the fat, uncoordinated kid with the geeky glasses playing dodgeball.

Kern said...

The only reason I used the line in the first place was in direct correlation to KJ's assertion that she was pulling a DT. It was not like I was using it in earnest as though it is my choice of normal catchphrase. So chew some sack, you.

Pulling a DT. That sounds vaguely filthy. I think I like that...

Kern said...

Somehow I highly doubt that.

Damfino said...

They pulled a DT on you kern!

Eww.
