Wow, if this is indeed true, then this is a sad day to be sure. I remember vividly the first day Jed invited me to this little part of the internet that he had staked out for himself. It began not unlike a virtual Deadwood, with its rough hewn language and expanse of vast possibilities. Slowly but surely, myself and many other settlers streamed in slowly in search of Findlay gold plated wit, and there was indeed gold in them thar hills.
If it had not been for the Damfinoblog I would not have had a chance to meet some extremely wonderful people such as The Sheriff and BC, Deric, Krysta Jo, Bryan McCabe, and Dan. In its heyday, we had a bustling town chock full of work avoidance and good times.
Also without Jed's inspiration, I would never have thought to start my own blog which after almost two and a half years has entertained tens of tens of people, and for that I'm very grateful.
We had joy, we had filth, we had seasons in the sun, but ultimately we had some good times and I have some amazing memories.
The Sheriff mentioned in closing that the Damfinoblog will be missed, and to that I can only think to add the words a man once so succinctly used on these very comment forms to second that sentiment.
