I know that Jed is a fan of Stella, and many moons ago, I was a fan of the comedy troupe, The State who spawned them. The very talented Michael Showalter wrote, produced, directed and starred in a new movie that I hear may take a few tangential cues from The Apartment, which I haven't seen but have heard great things about. The movie is called The Baxter and it looks great. Hopefully Mr. Showalter's attempt at wearing so many hats in the moviemaking process will net him far greater rewards than one Yahoo Serious.
Anyhow, here is an interview I found from Chud.com with the man.

And let me add (damfino) here is the trailer.

I watched this trailer just as Stella came out - and the similarities to The Apartment are sort of there... the secretary looks like Shirley Maclaine!
It is a goofy looking flick - well, probably Showalter's largest attempt at anything mainstream in the comedy world.
BTW - Stella has been kind of rough the last few eps.

Though I won't.
Google: Developers, developers, developers
How did Microsoft come to dominate desktop software? Hardball business tactics aside, the company has for 20-plus years understood--and catered to--software developers.

So true, so true.
You know what I think? I think that Eddie Lampert owns a whole stable of spamming machines, and so upset was he about our rebuffing his overtures in luring us to his stock blog, that he unleashed them upon us like a plague of frogs.
Or not, I dunno.

Christ on a cracker, this is fucking ridiculous.
What the fuck is up with all the spam?!
See ya all.
Hey Urnotme. Sorry I missed you.
By the way, I'm totally disappointed no one made mention of the high-larious Yahoo Serious reference in regard to how he basically did everything on the modern masterpiece known as Young Einstein.
That movie kills brain cells. Even in small doses.
I think that you must have had a key word that people put into their spamtastic machines and that's why we are burdened with pointless and crapalicious messages.
Jed - I don't want to look at your colon but I wouldn't mind a shot at your left kidney.
It's KJ! Did you say you started classes already?
Last night was class #1. I am only taking two and they fall on Tuesday/Thursday nights.
Been swamped at job #1.
Well good to see you. I think Damfinoblog is kind of like one of those busy families that celebrities are always doing PSA's about; the ones about setting aside one night a week to have dinner together.
On the upside, my absences have been for the betterment of the library. The main library is done! And we'll have the annex cleared by Friday! WOOOO!
But then I go donate blood at 2:30.
Huzzah for civic responsibility!
