Deit Heimley's House of Horrors

Deit loves a good party. That is a fact. So Deit, while talking about himself in the third person, decided to throw a Halloween Party. All of you Damfinoids are invited. Heck, I'll even pay for Kern's air fare out here just to join in the fun. OK, maybe I won't, but I'll say I will. That's almost the same as actually doing something. Sorry Kern. You live to far away! So for fun so hard you'll poop, come to my party!!

Here's the invite!

No wait, that's me working out in my garden. I was going to water the lawn with my own personal fire hydrant.

Here's the real invite.

DEIT! You grand bastard! You finally posted something.

And of course... it has an image of a half naked guy and a fire hydrant.

Always with the hydrants... very odd.

I think ol Sheriff and Buttercup need to come to Des Moines and party down!!

Deit: I regret the lamentable distance between Seattle and Des Moines, and unfortunately the technology seen in such shows as Star Trek haven't been invented yet. But I am sure the party is going to rock like a wood paneled minivan in a high school parking lot. Since I can't attend, I certainly hope that pix will be taken so that I can feel as though I came.

"There has to be a better way to say that..."

Well, Kern, as much as I'd like to help you feel like you'd come, I am no good at taking pictures. I am sure that some there will be taking picture and with Jed's help it will be just like you had come!!

And Jed, I could have gone with the fully naked guy, but my poor computer at home is dead. So you will just have to deal with the minor filth I can give you here at work.

As for hydrants ... is it me, or are they just oddly errotic in their phalic shape. Reminds me of this guy I knew with a PA.

Deit: Well, though I can't make this one, I sincerely hope that you'll be able to make the next Kern Returns bash. In fact, I hope that all the Damfinofriends are able to attend. There are still several who I've not met!

I'm sure Jed will get some great candid shots to make me feel as though I was there.

By the way, did you see the new reviews on my blog?

Kern: No. No reading has been going on. I have just not had time, and I am just so far behind. I do want to get caught up by the end of the week, so keep writing. I enjoy reading your reviews when I can. By the way, what did you submit for that position? Anything you did for us?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I submitted the Cortex review. It was not overly long(TMT usually has really short capsule reviews, tough for long winded bastards like me), but it was a little out of the norm and pretty well written I thought. Today was the due date, and I think they are going to let people know whether they made it throughout the month.

Admittedly, the Elliot Smith reviews were rather weak, just to acknowledge that up front. Today's is a little better, though. I just feel like the quality is decreasing in general because I have been staying up way too late.
